Had a 'Fris'bulous time this morning playing... Frisbee! =)
I think I played relatively better today: was particularly pleased with a pin-point touchdown pass to Cyrus, a turnaround touchdown catch (thanks to a pass from Jon) and a diving touchdown catch that gave my team a 3-2 lead (pass courtesy of Phin). My forehand throw has finally improved too I think... and so has my catching. The only downside for the morning was an abrasion to my right knee for that diving catch; didn't land as I should have =p
"Here's a sample diving catch heh"
On an even happier note, I got my Kaka jersey today! =) Thank God and thanks to Daniel, OCX, Jesse and Michelle! My church friends were in Tokyo, and the sports shop they walked passed had one last piece of the size I wanted! I think God knew what the desire of my heart was and directed them there cos they didn't exactly know where to look when they found the shop =) God is good!

Shrek 3 is finally out and I really wanna watch it!!! Who else wants to? =)

Global Day of Prayer
Some snapshots with my hp cam...

That's me with 2 brothers. Pardon the not very well combed hair, haha. The photo was taken at the end of a very long day. We stadium was half filled, with roughly more than 20,000 present. It was good to unite with the body of Christ on a national level, with many church leaders from the different denominations present, to pray and give God the glory. There were brothers and sisters from many other language groups present: Indonesians, Philippinos, Thais, Japanese, Koreans, and so on. Next up is the Festival of Praise and I'm looking forward to it as I always do! =)

The Moment...

...that really impressed me.
Milan won. The final was pretty entertaining. But the highlight for me was seeing Kaka don the tee above that says "I belong to Jesus" after the final whistle. The world was watching, many millions I'm sure, but fear of man did not prevent this brother-in-Christ from sharing his faith with all who need to know.
For more on his miracle-included life story, take a look at this article:
I'm trying to get a replica of the jersey he wore but its been really hard to find. Seems like its sold out at stores everywhere, even online =p
Well, this about rounds up my rare blog posts on football heh, a sport I love to play! =)
P.S.: My 'Mail Drop' form is finally working! I'll be using this instead of a tagboard. You can send me an email of encouragement from it! =)

Champions League Final

VS.

Its usually not every year when your favourite football team plays in a Cup Final. Its even rarer to have two of your favourite teams face off in a major Final. Well, that's going to happen again for me tomorrow night! And its the 2nd time in 3 years! =p Its really difficult to take sides, when I hope that both will win. My favourite players are Gerrard (Liverpool) and Kaka (AC Milan). Well, may the better team win!

Love. Laughter. Magic. Mayhem.
Highlight for the Week: 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' by William Shakespeare =) I really enjoyed watching the 21st century version of this play, which had a tasty Singapore flavour in some parts.
I went to visit CHC today, after a long long while (probably 2-3 yrs). I've been keen to see how the service at Expo is being run. Some things do appear to have changed, but it was still a positive experience overall. I was particularly impressed by the praying culture I witnessed. The congregation connected with the persons on one's left and right a number of times to pray. The promotional material for the upcoming Emerge conference for youths was very impressive, with a cover that has a holographic image and embossed words on it. It really looks very professionally done.
I was reminded of something important at today's service, which was:
"Our Attitude determines our Altitude"
And the best way for a Christian to learn how to have the 'Attitude' that God expects of us would of course be to... learn and live the 'BeAtitudes', from Matthew 5:1-12 =) It was Jesus' first sermon, which highlights its importance and value to us, so let's learn what He taught well.
Watch your Altitude rise!

Feelings
An extract from the 4 Spiritual Laws:
"The promise of God's Word, the Bible - not our feelings - is our authority. The Christian lives by faith (trust) in the trustworthiness of God Himself and His Word. Flying in an aeroplane can illustrate the relationship among fact (God and His Word), faith (our trust in God and His Word), and feeling (the result of our faith and obedience) (John 14:21).

To be transported by an airplane, we must place our faith in the trustworthiness of the aircraft and the pilot who flies it. Our feelings of confidence or fear do not affect the ability of the airplane to transport us, though they do affect how much we enjoy the trip. In the same way, we as Christians do not depend on feelings or emotions, but place our faith (trust) in the trustworthiness of God and the promises of His Word."
The extract above is meant for Christians. I've been thinking of blogging about feelings for sometime, and now that I have defeated procrastination, I'm glad that the time has finally come. I've wanted to share the extract above because of actions I observed that are difficult to understand, and these actions were possibly the result of decisions made that were based on just (or mainly) feelings.
Decisions lead to actions, and actions lead to results. If we would like to see better results in our lives, now might be a good time to re-examine how we often make decisions. A good question to ask ourselves might be: Do I often make decisions based on just (or mainly) how I feel about it? Let's be honest with ourselves and if our answer was "yes", there is a much higher likelihood that many of the decisions we have been making were not good ones at all.
To add a little further caution, another danger of relying overly on feelings is that the evil one is able to influence situations around us that affect our feelings and cause us to make decisions that are against what God wants us to do.
Let us allow God and His Word to be our authority, and not our feelings, so that we may consistently be making decisions that truly honor and please the God (Jesus) we love. Before making any decisions, let's start asking ourselves: Is this a decision that will honor and please God and does it agree with His Word (Bible)?

Mother's Day
Just a short post... cos its late and I need to sleeeeepp soon! =p Here's just a reminder that Mother's Day is coming up again next Sunday (13th May). Its a good occasion to appreciate and thank our moms for all that they have done for us, so let's not miss the opportunity to do so! =)
I bought a gift book titled 'A little book of Thanks for Mom!'. Happened to see it at the Mass Media bookstore the last time I went.
If your holidays have started, here's wishing you happy holidays ahead! =)
