Go Korea!
Hey everyone, I'm flying to Korea in a few hours time. I'm looking forward to it lots and I look forward to sharing with you my experience there! (^.^) I haven't been able to change the blog design because I injured my left eye yesterday. I've included my prayer request below.
Conference Schedule:
Please pray for:
1. Full and speedy recovery of my left eye. I bruised the lower left part of my eye ball because I tried too hard to remove my contact lens.
2. Safety and good health.
3. An expectant and teachable heart.
4. Opportunities to find a pretty Korean wife! (hahaha, just kidding)
I'll be at the airport at 8.30pm tonight, Terminal 1. It'll be quite an interesting sight I think because there're almost like 200 of us flying off together. That's a massive group size. Just give me a ring if you decide to come and see me off heh.
I'll be away from 29 June - 6 July. Please remember me in prayer! God Bless! (",)

Number 7
I went on a fishing trip to Malaysia with my dad and a church uncle earlier today... and my head's still "rocking" thanks to the extra choppy waters today =p I think I'll blog a little more about it only when the photos are ready.
The number 7 is referred to by Christians as the "perfect number" sometimes because the creation of the world took 7 days, including the "day of rest". Its also a number that appears in quite a number of other significant situations in the Bible. Well, if you aren't already aware, a pretty special day is coming up, and that's 07-07-07. Its probably a good day to do something memorable since it'll be so easy to remember. It'll be a 100 year wait before the next one comes along! =p
I'm glad to say that I've been enjoying my long vacation. I just attended my 7th '21st birthday party' this year over the weekend! haha. Its surely a record already. The theme this time was 'Flower Power' and here's the pic with me and the church youths who went:

I'm leaving for Korea this Friday and I'm looking forward to it lots! Look out for a special blog design coming up soon! =)

A New Nickname
I've got a new nickname! haha. And its one that I like quite alot. I was playing street soccer with church friends this morning, when the inspiration came. My new nickname is... "Keke" (pronounced cur-ker)! (^.^)
Its very similar to one of my favourite soccer players' nickname- "Kaka". I got mine from my surname 'Ke'. I doubled it, so that's how I got "Keke" heh.
Looking forward to the weekend!

Communication
Communication keeps a friendship/relationship alive, and good communication helps it to grow stronger. Whether its face-to-face, over the phone, via sms or msn, we need to communicate more and in a better manner if we hope to have stronger friendships/relationships. Its good to start with our own family members and extend from there. Give more communication time to people who really matter to you.
As for good communication, I think that its also important to remember that it goes 2-ways. We speak and we hear, and we write and we read. God knows that we need to communicate with Him also, and that's why He made available His Word, and many times in His Word we are told to pray to Him.
Its hard to get to know someone/someOne better when the communication is lacking. Just like it takes two hands to clap, it takes two people to communicate well. For Christians, its always us who fail to play our part. Let us make every effort to pray more.
On my part, I push myself to pray for at least 15 minutes (continuously) every day. I encourage you to do so too.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
16 Be joyful always; 17 pray continually; 18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
Just for laughs... I love Glasbergen cartoons! haha.

Project Zurprise
The 'Zurprise' (aka surprise heh) for my cell today was... the first part of it, was coming to my home for cell group! =D We usually have cell group meetings in church, and only rarely do we have it at someone's home. The second part of the 'Zurprise' was that we were going to play a board game, instead of the usual study of God's Word.
The game we played was Bibleopoly! =) Its similar to Monopoly in many ways, but it has its unique characteristics too. In a nutshell, one of the main differences is that you 'gain' more by giving. The objective of the game is to be the first person to build a church, from the cornerstone, to the bricks, and finally to the roof.
Its a fun game to play and learn a bit more about the Bible, and here's the pic:
Lesson learnt: It really takes God's providence and patience to build a church heh. It took me awhile to build the last part (the roof) because I kept getting 'pushed back', but it felt great when it was finally complete! =)

What can I do with my worry?
I mentioned that I'll be blogging about something important that God reminded me of, so here I am doing so =)
It was through a booklet titled 'What can I do with my worry?'. This Discovery Series booklet by RBC (the organisation that brings you Daily Bread) had been lying around at home for some time until I decided to bring it to reservist. Honestly, I didn't think that I needed to read it because I felt that I had my 'worry' well-controlled. This feeling was perhaps reinforced by the observation that sermons in church on the topic of 'worry' aren't exactly very rare. Well, as it turned out, I believe that God used this book to help me realise that I was wrong and what I could do to become happier.
One of the more noteworthy reminders for me was that there is good worry, as well as bad worry. We want the former, and not the latter. No worry at all is not a good thing because such a person would likely be care-less. This often translates to a poor work attitude and consequently poor results.
I found a pdf version of this book online (33 pages) and I would really recommend that you read it, whether or not you think/feel you need to. To download:

May you have only good worry and be happier! (",)
***Special thanks to RBC for being such a wonderful blessing to so many of us all these years***

Long Vacation
Tomorrow's gonna be the start of my... 'long vacation'! haha. So long as nothing unexpected crops up at work, it'll mean that I'll be away from work for almost, yes almost, a month! =p I wasn't expecting to get my break so soon actually, but it turns out there's much less work during this period, so I was told to clear my off and leave. Yup, it looks like off-peak season has arrived for me! =)
I haven't really made much plans since it has all come a little suddenly. I'll have to come up with a to-do list by tomorrow to fully utilise this break that I've got. Its up to me to plan my time, and I one thing I hope to do is to meet up with friends. If you're free to meet up, please drop me an sms or email!
Its time for some holiday fun! =)

SMS Problem
I've noted recently that my phone has not been able to receive smses sent from some 3G phones of friends. I'm not sure why yet. If you've smsed me and I didn't reply, it could very well be that I didn't receive your sms at all. Please call me instead k? Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Blog Post #77
This post that you're reading is number 77 since this blog first started! =)
Reservist has finally ended and I would first like to thank God for how smoothly it went! A heartfelt 'thank you' also goes out to all of you who had kept me in prayer. All my prayer requests were answered! =)
Even though its close to the same group of people whom I see every year since reservist started, the experience changes quite a bit in an interesting way. Of particular note was the conversation topics. Most of the 'comrades' I hang out with are in later stages in life, so we ended up talking much more about houses, cars, family, weddings, and jobs. It was amusing in a way but I think I benefitted quite alot because it gave me a real peek into the future. We didn't do a whole lot activities wise, and that meant I got the rest I was looking forward to. A significant piece of news we received was that we would probably be going to Taiwan in 2-3 years to 'fight' a simulated battle. I haven't travelled in Taiwan so that's something to look forward to. However, it'll be longer than the usual reservist, probably about 3 weeks, and I'm not so sure if the extended time I'll be away will be something I'll still look forward to at that time. It'll mean I'll have to be away from loved ones, and there might be a significant one by then, haha.
I managed to do quite a fair bit of reading during the week, and I think God reminded me about something very important. I'll share about it in the next post, so stay tuned...! =)
P.S.: I went to catch a locally produced show with my 'comrades' during nights out. I wouldn't name it here but I have to admit it was quite a big disappointment. You might want to save your money for another show instead.

Army Days...
...are returning in a few hours time! =p I'm going back for reservist this coming week, and I've got some prayer requests. Please remember me in prayer if you may, thank you =) My requests are for:
1. Safety, good health and a good rest.
2. Opportunities to share the Good News.
"funny cartoon"
To brothers and sisters going for church camp this week, have an awesome time! =)
P.S.: If you're going to sms, pls sign off with your name. I'll be switching to an old camera-less phone for the next few days and it doesn't have most of your numbers.
